Our basic itinerary

We are less than a week away from our departure.  Mark has tried to get the majority of the trip laid out.  There will be flexibility built into the itinerary, but a good idea of the general day to day is something we feel is important.
We will be in London for the first four days. Then we pick up our rental car and head North.  Normally we would route via the smallest roads possible, but for this first day driving the M1 highway is necessary for making time. From London we had to Sheffield where we hope to visit some custom knife manafactures.  Then it's northward to York were we will spend the afternoon and night.
The day its north to Scotland to our base in Callandar seeing Hadrian's Wall, Jedburgh Abbey, and Melrose Abby along the way.  We are there for 5 nights before heading back to London.
This is our place in London
Here is our stop over in York
And we have the blue room at the Westerton

Check back for updates!

  1. Good for you guys! It really is better if you can fit everything in two carry-ons with a personal bag/backpack each. It makes airports easier because you spend so much less of your trip waiting for you luggage to come down the turnstile. :P I'm so happy for you and - admittedly - a bit jealous. You are going to have such a great time!!! You have to promise you are going to try some haggis in Scotland. I can't wait to see the pictures. Yay blogs!
Love you guys so much! Safe journey!
